Services

What we do — and how we do it differently.

We offer four core engineering services, each grounded in hands-on experience across consumer electronics, precision optical systems, robotics, and defense. Every engagement is led by a senior engineer — not delegated to a junior team.

01

Mechanical System & Product Design

Most hardware startups hit the same wall — a prototype that works on the bench but can't survive the transition to manufacturing. We design products that are built for the real world from the start.

We provide end-to-end mechanical design for complex products and systems — from initial concept and system architecture through detailed design, tolerance analysis, and production-ready documentation. Every design decision is made with manufacturability, assembly, and cost in mind.

Our experience spans handheld consumer devices, industrial enclosures, precision instrument housings, kinematic mechanisms, and ruggedized defense hardware — giving us a broad reference base that informs smarter design

What we deliver

  • Concept development and system architecture

  • 3D CAD design and detailed engineering drawings

  • Tolerance stack-up and GD&T analysis

  • DFM / DFA review and optimization

  • Prototype coordination and design validation

  • Production-ready documentation package

02

Opto-Mechanical Design

Optical systems are unforgiving — a few microns of misalignment can render a product unusable. Most mechanical engineers don't understand optics. We do.

We design mechanical systems that integrate optical components with the precision and stability that imaging, sensing, and positioning applications demand. Our approach accounts for thermal expansion, vibration, alignment drift, and manufacturing variation — from the first sketch to final assembly.

From camera modules and LiDAR housings to precision GPS instruments and defense-grade imaging systems, we have designed opto-mechanical assemblies that perform reliably in the field — not just in the lab.

What we deliver

  • Optical-mechanical system architecture

  • Alignment-critical assembly design

  • Thermal and vibration analysis

  • Lens mount and sensor integration

  • Manufacturing repeatability planning

  • Test and alignment procedure development

03

Automation Engineering

Manual processes don't scale. Whether you're trying to automate a production line or deploy a field system, the engineering behind automation is where most teams lack depth.

We design and integrate custom automation systems — from mechanism design and motion engineering through PLC programming, control system architecture, and field deployment. Our hands-on experience with large-scale robotic fulfillment systems means we understand what it takes to build automation that performs reliably at volume.

We are Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 certified and bring practical controls expertise alongside mechanical design — a combination that eliminates costly handoffs between engineering disciplines.

What we deliver

  • Automation system architecture and design

  • Mechanism and motion engineering

  • PLC programming (Studio 5000 / Rockwell)

  • Control system integration

  • Sensor and actuator selection

  • Field deployment and commissioning support

04

Manufacturing & Process Consulting

Getting to a working prototype is the easy part. Getting that prototype into repeatable, cost-effective mass production — without quality failures or costly redesigns — is where most startups struggle.

We help hardware companies bridge the gap between prototype and production. Drawing on Six Sigma Black Belt methodology and real-world manufacturing experience across global production operations, we identify and eliminate the design and process issues that cause production failures before they reach the factory floor.

Whether you need a full DFM audit, a process optimization engagement, or ongoing production readiness support — we bring the same senior-level rigor that has been applied to high-volume consumer electronics and mission-critical defense systems.

What we deliver

  • DFM / DFA audit and redesign recommendations

  • Manufacturing process development

  • Statistical quality control (SPC) implementation

  • Supplier evaluation and process qualification

  • Production yield improvement

  • Production readiness review (PRR)

Not sure which service fits your situation?

Tell us about your project and we'll tell you where we can add the most value. Most engagements draw on more than one service area.

We work with early-stage startups, growth-stage hardware companies, and established manufacturers. Engagements range from focused one-off reviews to ongoing embedded consulting — scoped to what your project actually needs.
